Samartzis Estate is a
family-owned vineyard and
winery situated in the communities of Ascre,
Muses Valley, and Vagia, on the southern slopes of Mount Helicon, located 62 kilometers southeast of the Delphi oracle.
We cultivate our vineyards with respect for the environment, utilizing the most modern methods of good agricultural practices.
Our philosophy is centered on producing high-quality, unique, and "expressive" wines.
Each of our wines has its own special identity and embodies the best possible expression of the vineyard's character and the grape variety (or varieties) from which it is produced.
Our primary goal is to produce terroir wines from Greek grape varieties, with a strong focus on the "one vineyard - one wine" philosophy.
The grape varieties we use to produce our wines are as follows:
Whites: Kontoura white (please click here to see more) and Malagousia
Reds: Mouhtaro, Merlot, Grenache Rouge, and Syrah
Our vineyard grapes are used to produce:
- Five (5) wines of the Protected Geographical Indication of Thiva (P.G.I. THIVA)
- Four (4) wines of the Protected Geographical Indication of Central Greece (P.G.I. Central Greece)
