The vineyard owned by the Samartzi Bros Company is located in the vine-growing zone of the Koilada ton Mouson (Valley of the Muses), outside the village of Askri. It spreads on one side across the foot of mount Elikonas, in slopes with an altitude of 420 to 460 meters and on the other side over a low hill at an altitude of 380-430 meters; it lies there protected against the south warm winds, whilst the north winds blowing from the heart of mount Elikonas act beneficially as they cool down the vineyards.

All our vineyards are cultivated by our company’s specialized vine-growers under the supervision of our agronomist and wine expert. Biological Agriculture cultivation techniques (DIO) are applied in a section of our vineyard situated in the Koilada ton Mouson and our objective is to apply these techniques in all our vineyards within the following three years.

The total area of the estate is 20 hectares. The vineyard covers 15 hectares, while the rest of the area is covered with olive groves.Our vineyards planted between 1961 &  1963 within the context of an organized research conducted by Samartzis Company on the quality potential of the local Greek variety under the name Kontoura. 

Our objective is to expand our exporting operations, through commercial agents, in the following countries: China, UK, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Japan, USA and Canada by the end of 2015.
